Veterinary Nurse

6 month maternity leave position

3 days a week and Saturdays

8th January start date

Key Responsibilities

  • Caring, handling, cleaning of all animals in our care

  • Assist the consulting vets and do nurse consultations including dental care, weight management and rehabilitation.

  • Undertaking of surgical nursing tasks; including pre & post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency care

  • Maintain an outstandingly hygienic workplace.

  • Handling client enquiries via telephone or email and administrative duties and associated tasks

The ideal applicant for this job will

  • Have experience working in a veterinary clinic

  • Demonstrate a sincere commitment to high standards of patient and client care

  • Have an open, confident and friendly personality - we need a "people person"

  • Have good problem solving skills

  • Be quick thinking, calm under pressure and eager to grow in all areas of veterinary nursing.

  • Have an enthusiastic approach to all tasks and a real ‘Team player’ attitude

  • Eager to advance your skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis
